Lolly was sleeping on the couch at his aunt's house where he now resided. It wasn't particularly early, but it wasn't unreasonable for him to be still be sleeping at the same time. That was when he heard footsteps cluttering around the front door. With moderate force, the little mail flap opened, two fingers peaking through it. Lolly didn't bother to stir, but was awakened by the sound. He listened, wondering if the person outside was going to address anyone or not. Hopefully he wouldn't have to leave the warmth of his blankets. It was then he heard the whirring of a camera lens adjusting itself. He knew the sound all too well, and could identify the being at the door right away. Peering just enough to see through the mail slot without letting anyone know he was awake, he looked to find the lens of Stealth's camera head zooming in and out taking in all the details he could. Great. This could only mean one thing. Richard was up to something. He wouldn't have Stealth leaving his estate otherwise. Lolly continued to listen, wondering what Stealth's and - second handly - Richard's plans were.
After a few minutes of Stealth spying around, he apparently got bored of his limited viewing and released hold of the mail flap. It wasn't long, however, before it was pushed open again and an envelope of some kind was forced through it none too gently. It fell to the floor with a slap and the mail slot was closed once again. Listening, Lolly heard Stealth's footsteps leave the door and then head toward the nearby window. After a few minutes of that, he apparently went to the hedge next to the door, where Lolly heard rustling. No doubt Stealth was filming something within it like a bug or some other such nonsense. After that, he heard him finally leave. There was only so much on the lawn for Stealth to look at, he supposed. He probably found more entertainment in it than Lolly ever did. None the less, once he knew the annoying acquaintance was gone, he wrapped the smallest of his blankets around his half-naked form and went to pick up the envelope that Stealth had left behind.
Opening it he found it to say in big fancy letters, "You're invited to a Richard Finkelstein party!". Accompanying the date, it also read "Bring plenty of spirit and your best girl! And be prepared to dance!". Lolly sighed. He didn't have a best girl. He didn't have anyone. He probably never would have anyone, either. Alas, for someone, even Lolly, to turn down a Richard Finkelstein invitation was unheard of. Anyone who was anyone was going to be there. Even if he had no one to bring or dance with, it didn't really matter. If nothing else, it got him away from crazy little cousins, Mitch and Pepper. Not only that, but it would really help keep his father in Richard's good favor by going as well. Hell, he was pretty much obligated to go. It would be alright anyway. He was sure to meet many, MANY interesting people when he got there...
OKAY, so here's event one! It's pretty much nothing but an RP starter and you all probably saw it coming, BUT IT'S WHAT WE HAVE TO WORK WITH FOR NOW. Anyway, the objective is simple. You have from now until the end of November to draw and/or write about your character's (or characters') experience at the Richard party. What do they do? Who do they meet? Do they dance? Maybe they get hammered with Richard? I WANNA KNOW. Also, I almost forgot, but if your character is too young to attend the party, you can make something of what they do while their parents or guardians are attending the party. Sound good? C: GOOD.
Here's the basic rules:
- You need at least one piece of work to get credit that will come in handy in the future once I make a rewards system
- You may make multiple works
- You have to use at least one of your characters. You DO NOT have to use all of them unless you want to.
- You may use other people's character WITH PERMISSION, but it has to involve your character to in some way to count.
I think that about covers it...HAVE FUN. AND PARTY HARD:
